He was predeceased by: his parents, Felipa Martinez Bermea and Jose Bermea; his wife Dora Cantu; his son Jesse Bermea; and his siblings, Nicolas Bermea, Jose Bermea, Manuel Bermea, Marcelo Bermea, Anastacio Bermea, Roman Bermea, Eulalia Rodriguez, Dominga Bermea and Jesusa Cantu.
He is survived by: his children, Mike Bermea (Julie) of Big Spring, Jerry Bermea (Anita) of Big Spring, Emma Bermea of Big Spring and Eva Bermea (Kami) of Big Spring; and his sisters, Carlota Garcia of Charlotte and Isabel Calvillo of Charlotte. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren.
