She was predeceased by: her parents, Manuel Guzman and Santos Guzman; her husband Ruben P. Torres, Sr.; her son Ruben P. Torres, Jr.; her brother Manuel Guzman, Jr.; and her siblings-in-law, Victor Cortinas, Edward "Wally" Mendez, Delia Cevallos and Maria Pena.
She is survived by: her children, Linda Torres of Big Spring and Larry Torres (Cindy) of Big Spring; her sisters, Flo Cortinas of Schertz and Alicia Garcia (Nate) of Taft; her siblings-in-law, Richard Torres (Chota) and Sylvia Mendez; her grandchildren, Laura Torres Pippins, Ruben P. Torres III (Maria), Linda Kay Torres and Christi Thurman (Richard, Jr.); her great grandchildren, Trevor Gaige Pippins, Lyra Gisele Pippins, Angel Marie Kistner, Estrella Ruby Luna, Imanuel Jesus Brockway, Richard Thurman III, Christopher Thurman and Zachary Thurman; and her sisters, Juanita Lujan (Honey) and Irma Olivares.
