He was predeceased by: his father Isaiah; his son Ike Edwards, Jr.; and his siblings, Terry Larkins, James Lee Burleson, Bobby Jean Jeffrey and Gloria Inez Burleson.
He is survived by: his wife Charlene; his children, Carlinda Sanders of Temple, Joseph Peterson of Odessa, Jerry Rushin of Big Spring, Rodney Rayford of Big Spring, Tameka Dixon of Big Spring, Kourtnee Rushin of Big Spring, Nicholas Rushing of Big Spring and Nichole Negron of Coahoma; and his siblings, Carl Burleson, Robert Burleson, Zachary Burleson, Joy Hagan, Rosemary Burleson and Betty Burleson. He is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren.
