It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Grover C. Bayes of Big Spring, Texas, who passed away on December 16, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Grover C. Bayes to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Cleo Bayes (Grantham) and George Bayes; his wife Bernell Bayes; and his brothers, Glen Wayne Bayes and Jim Neeley.
He is survived by: his sons, Eddie Bayes (Audrey) and Gary Lee Bayes; his grandchildren, Trena Whitmire, Amanda McCready (Dan), Samantha Rodriguez (Alex), Rick Dorsett (Beth), Krista Shea (Taylor), Cassidy Whitmire, Mandy Bingham (Travis), Brandon Scroggins (Jaymie) and Nick Bayes; and his siblings, Bobbie Bayes, Robbie Harper and Jerry Neeley. He is also survived by 15 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home - BIG Spring (906 S Gregg St, Big Spring, TX 79720). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel (906 S Gregg St, Big Spring, TX 79720). A burial was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at the Cemetery Mount Olive Memorial Park (1701 TX-350, Big Spring, TX 79720).
