She was predeceased by: her parents, Martin Cuellar and Santos Faye Wilson; her husband Elias Chavez, Sr.; her brother Cesar Cuellar; and her daughter-in-law Cheryl Chavez.
She is survived by: her children, Elias Chavez, Jr. (Anna) of Sweetwater, Gilberto Chavez of Castroville, Esteban Chavez of Odessa, Tomas Chavez, Sr. of Odessa, Irene Garcia (John) of Waco and Cindy Chavez-Rosa of Big Spring; her siblings, Bobby Gonzales (Alicia) of McAllen, Martin Carlos Cuellar (Dolores) of Houston, Mary Lou Munoz (Salvador) of Big Spring and Linda Irrgang (Michael) of Black Diamond, WA; and her sister-in-law Gloria Cuellar of Baytown. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren.
