He was predeceased by: his mother Siria Vargas; and his brother Henry Vargas. He is survived by: his wife Alice Vargas of Big Spring; his children, Billy Cook (Melissa) of Loveland, Chris Cook of Houston and David Vargas (Natasha) of Big Spring; his siblings, Sam Vargas of O'Donnell, Rudy Vargas of O'Donnell, Linda Hiltbrunner of O'Donnell, Eva Cantu of Lamesa, Josephine Vargas of O'Donell and Frances Fandel of San Angelo; his grandchildren, Morgan Cook, Terrin Cook, Kayle Cook and Jayden Cook; and his great grandchild Amelia Butcher. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
