He is survived by: his wife Katherine of Austin; his daughter Lindsay Compton (Rick Yarbrough) of Bend, Oregon; his niece Atesha Compton of Salem, Virginia; and his nephews, Chris Compton of Leander, TX and William Lansford of Jonesboro, TX..
