He was predeceased by: his parents, Mack Halfmann and Emma Halfmann (Gerngross); his siblings, George Halfmann (Doris) and Frances; his brother-in-law Buddy Hering; his sister Veronica Clark; his brother-in-law Edd Plagens; and his daughter-in-law Mary Kay Halfmann.
He is survived by: his wife Wilma Jean Michalewicz; his children, Lynn Halfmann (Jerri), Kay Donna Machicek (James "Cookie"), Dana Gully (Rick), Sheila Cook, Butch Halfmann (Tammy), Emma Lou Russell, Fran Havlak (Steve), Charlotte Kellermeier (Sammy), Nathan Halfmann (Gena) and Wendell Halfmann (Kristin); and his siblings, Leon Halfmann (JoAnn), Wayne Halfmann (Barbara), Bernadette Plagens, Mary Jane Mikilik (Harvey) and Janice Niehues (Alvin). He is also survived by 30 grandchildren and 60 great grandchildren.
