He is survived by: his wives, Bobbie Nell Tucker and Bobbie Maples of Big Sandy; his sons, Ernest "Ernie" Maples III of Big Sandy and David Maples (Jackie) of Rowlett; his grandchildren, Ernest "Ernie" Maples IV, Crystal Bohannon, Blake Maples and Jonathan Stubbs; and his great grandchildren, Kennedy Isabella Bohannon, Andrew Stubbs and Caiden Stubbs.
