It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Herman Edward Garner Jr. of Bertram, Texas, born in Lampasas, Texas, who passed away on February 22, 2024, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Emma Laura Bates Garner and Herman Edward Garner, Sr.. He is survived by: his children, Wayne Garner (Lisa) of Leander and Julie Mullen of Austin; his granddaughters, Krista and Alicia Mullen of Dallas; his stepchildren, Patrick McCurdy of Lampasas, Christina Hopson of Burnet and Michael McCurdy of Early; his sister Laura Eaton (Tommy) of Buchanan Dam; his uncles, Jack Garner (Joanna) of Lampasas and Richard Bates; and his cousins, Eddie Garner (Janice), Billy Bates (Tasha), Susie Wakeland and Eric Bates (Mary Elissa). He is also survived by other loving family members and friends.
