He was predeceased by: his parents, Crisoforo Chapa and Herlinda S. Chapa; and his siblings, Humberto Chapa and Lucia Ramos. He is survived by: his sons, Vicente L. Chapa, Jr. of Benavides and Daniel Chapa (Cynthia Cervantez) of Benavides; and his siblings, Rodolfo Chapa of Benavides, Arnoldo Chapa of Benavides, Ruben Chapa (Idalia) of Alice, Crisoforo Chapa of San Francisco, CA., Herlinda Sanchez (Oscar) of Benavides and Francis Villarreal (Lorenzo) of Houston. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
