He was predeceased by: his parents, Manuel Alaniz and Maria Alaniz; his daughter Monica Saenz (Mario); his granddaughter Marina Reynolds (Bryant); and his sister-in-law Guadalupe "Lupe" Alaniz.
He is survived by: his wife Blanca Everett Alaniz.
