He was predeceased by: his son Alexander "Alex" Couling; his parents, Rodolfo Couling and Elvira Oliveira Couling; and his sister Donna Canales. He is survived by: his children, Lisa Couling of Panama City, Florida and Natalie Gonzalez (David) of Corpus Christi, Texas; his sister Rosario Vaello (Gerard) of McAllen, Texas; and his grandchildren, Maddie Couling, David Roland Gonzalez and Zachary Rodolfo Gonzalez.
