It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Olivero Rene Guajardo of Benavides, Texas, born in Alice, Texas, who passed away on August 16, 2024, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his son-in-law Alfredo Gonzalez; his siblings, Rogelio "Lito" Guajardo (Anna) of Benavides and Maria Hilda Lopez of San Diego; and also, Ostyn of Harlingen, Lauren of Harlingen and Ava of Harlingen. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
As an example of his generous nature, Ollie helped organize a charity dove hunt to fund scholarships to honor the memories of close relatives who had died in the 1980s.
