She was predeceased by: her parents, Estanislado and Beatriz Contreras Sr.; her husband Jose Humberto Salinas; and her siblings, Seferino "Tartana" Contreras, Silverio "Chivo" Contreras Sr., Homero Contreras Sr. and Porfiria C. Rodriguez.
She is survived by: her children, Bobby Joe Salinas and Jo Ann Salinas of Benavides, Texas; her grandchildren, Christie Ann Smith, Lori Ann Martinez, Angelica Isabel Salinas and Joseph Alexander Salinas; and her siblings, Juan Casso (Eloisa "Kati"), Estanislado Contreras Jr. (Eva), Esteban Contreras (Hilda), Petra Contreras Martinez, Adrian Contreras Sr., Juan Contreras (Marta) and Jerry Contreras Sr. (Nora). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
