He was predeceased by: his parents, Ramon Pena Resendez and Juanita Amaya Resendez; his son Benjamin Resendez; and his father-in-law Andres "Chito" Hernandez. He is survived by: his spouse Norma H. Resendez; his children, John Cody Resendez, Vanessa Ann Sanchez (Andrew) and Veronica M. Harris (James); his mother-in-law Aurora G. "Lola" Hernandez; his brother Calixtro Resendez; and his brother-in-law Rene "Rhino" Hernandez. He is also survived by three grandchildren, one great-grandchild, several nieces and nephews.
