He was predeceased by: his parents, Juan Hernandez and Santos Hernandez; his former wife Laura Hernandez; and his siblings, Baldemar, Jose Maria, Raymundo, Reynaldo Hernandez and Alma Gloria Hernandez.
He is survived by: his wife Ninfa Hernandez; his children, Ildefonso Hernandez (Juanita), Juan F. Hernandez (Lydia), Selma Saenz (Simon), Leticia Soliz (David) and Laura Eloine Bunch (Leroy); his stepchildren, Orlando Vera (Myrna), Porfirio Vera (Elida), Damas Vera (Melissa) and Rosie Carrillo (Joe); and his brother Juan Gilberto Hernandez (Mary). He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
