It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Esmeralda L. Salinas of Benavides, Texas, born in Alice, Texas, who passed away on January 25, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Florentino Lopez and Petra G. Lopez; her husband Servando; her daughter Rhonda; her son-in-law Benjamin Eber Voorhees, IV; and her siblings, Zulema and Florentino, Jr. (Esmeralda).
She is survived by: her children, Jose Rolando Salinas (Melissa) of Benavides, Texas, Ricardo Salinas of Tomball, Texas, Rodolfo Salinas (Gretchen) of San Antonio, Texas, Rosabel Gonzalez (Cleofas Jr.) of Benavides, Rosario and Ruella Escontrias (Enrique) of Benavides, Texas; her brother Armando Lopez (Elena); her sister-in-law Minerva Lopez; and her grandchildren, Cleofas Gonzalez III, Clarisa Marie Pena, Cesar Javier Gonzalez, Justin Anthony Voorhees, Rhonda Leigh Voorhees, Eron Cole Voorhees, Eric Daniel Salinas, Alyssa Nicole Salinas of Rolando Javier, Kassandra Renee Escontrias, Marisela Alicia Escontrias, Mia Danielle Escontrias, KyAnn Salinas, Grace Marie Durland and Julian Joseph Barrera. She is also survived by ten great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
