He is survived by: his spouse Maria Guadalupe "Ita" Canales; his daughters, Alyssa De La Cruz and Andrea Carnes (Kris) of Corpus Christi; his grandsons, Jason Cruz McQuagge, Jacob Hunter Carnes and Wade Fischer Carnes; his siblings, Abelardo De La (Cuala), Aaron De La Cruz of Corpus Christi, Sylvia, Alvarez of Corpus Christi, Aminta and Adriana Barrera (Joe Carrasco) of El Paso; and his brothers-in-law, Idelfonso Hernandez (Ninfa) of Benavides, Fructoso Canales (Mary) of Houston and Rudy. He is also survived by wife, daughters, grandchildren, son in laws, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and friends.
