It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lucille Geddie of Ben Wheeler, Texas, who passed away on July 20, 2022, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Lucille Geddie to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her father Eugene Matthews; her husband T. D. Geddie, Jr.; and her daughter Sandra Kay Geddie. She is survived by: her children, Tom Geddie of Ben Wheeler, P. A. Geddie of Ben Wheeler and Mike Geddie (Sherrie) of Canton; her grandchildren, Michael Geddie (Iris), Matt Geddie and Jill Couchman (Bryan); and her great grandchildren, Luke Geddie, Lincoln Couchman and Fletcher Couchman. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Canton Oaks Nursing and Rehab.

“Lucille was an amazing woman. Every time we visited with her she would proudly show us the quilts she was working on. She found a sense of purpose creating each baby quilt and knowing Lucille she prayed continually while she created each gift. We never heard her complain and we loved how she was the voice of many on the council committee at the nursing home. She is now once again with those who have passed before her including her sister in-law Opal Matthews. Blessed be Lucille’s memory. Amen.”
