He was predeceased by: his parents, John Alfred Newport, Sr. and Edna Pearl Newport; his aunt Beryl Busby; his daughter Kelly Lynne Lambert; his grandchildren, Lindsay Nicole Williams Lambert and Steven Wesley Huffines; his great grandchild Brenton Lane Huffines; and his son-in-law Steven Royce Huffines.
He is survived by: his daughters, Kim Huffines of Van, Kathy Hanks of Poynor and Kasi Newport of Edom; his grandchildren, Jeremy Lambert of Van and MiLynne Faulk (Blain) of Bullard; and his great grandchildren, Gannyn, Gauge, Bryson, Wyatt, Preston, Charleigh and Christian.
