He was predeceased by: his parents, Christopher Columbus Pledger, Sr. and Nina Oliver Woodall (Holland); his former wives, Mary Jane Pledger (Cavanaugh) and Joyce F. Pledger (Richardson); and his son David Pledger.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Pledger of Ben Wheeler; his children, Mike Pledger of Troup and Vicki Bell of Van; and his son-in-law Robert Bell. He is also survived by six grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the VFW or the American Legion.
