He was predeceased by: his parents, Van Plummer and Willie Mae Plummer (Stewart); his wife Shirley Jean Plummer (Buice); his son Sammy Allen Plummer Jr.; and his granddaughter Courtney Plummer.
He is survived by: his daughter Laura O'Brien (Carlos) of Dallas; his stepchildren, Nicky O'Conner, Jason O'Conner and Crystal Clayton; and his extended family, Jimmy, Margie Long, Jerry and Lynn Petty. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great- grandchildren. many nieces and nephews.
