He was predeceased by: his parents, John O. Hood and Charlene Hood (Turnbo). He is survived by: his son Paul (Christy); his wife Glena Clinton; his grandchildren, Mason (Erin) and Megan; his great grandchild Pace; and his brothers, Terry (Janet) and Tommy (JoAnne). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
