He was predeceased by: his parents, Fay Cartwright and Popham; his wife Larita; his siblings, Donald Wayne, Billy Joe Cartwright and Norma Ruth Lundy; and his stepson Stanley Thomas Kirby, Jr..
He is survived by: his children, Danny Cartwright (Chris) of Copperas Cove and Dina DaSilva of San Antonio; his stepchildren, Melissa Everett (Dallas) of Belton, Jerry Macek (John) of Abilene and Dan Baily, Sr. (Theresa) of Fort Worth; his grandchildren, Kasey Gurule, Brittany Clark, Brandon Crandle, Rachael Cartwright and Barbara Cartwright; his stepgrandchildren, Danny Baily, Crystal Guerro, Travis Everett, Paige Lock, Jeff Kirby and Jessica Kellhofer; and his sister Linda Richard (Rick) of Temple.
