He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Jarrell Hayes, Sr. and Ruby Welch Hayes of Belton; his wife Peggy Ann Carpenter of Belton; his son Kenneth Brian Hayes of Humble; his granddaughter Jessica Nicole Hayes of Humble, Texas.; and his sister Freida White (Harold) of Angleton, Texas..
He is survived by: his son Kelvin Ryan Hayes (Debi) of Diboll, TX; his siblings, Calvin (Gayle Hayes) of Axtell, TX and Shirley (Clifford Hughes) of Temple, TX; his grandchildren, Kelvin Ryan Hayes, Jr. of Lufkin, TX, Lacy (Elias Lazo) of Longview, TX, Kena Hayes of Humble, TX, Crystal Hayes of Conroe, TX, Erin Hayes of Houston, TX and Lettie Hayes of New Buffalo, Michigan.; his great grandchildren, Dalton Hayes of Lufkin, TX, Allison Nicole Hayes and Haylee Marie Hayes of Shreveport, LA; his grandson Sean Powell of Keller, TX; and his great grandchildren, Nathan, Collin and Jessica Powell of Keller, TX.. He is also survived by his siblings and extended family.
Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, there will be no formal funeral service.
