With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Steven Matney of Belton, Texas, born in Sioux City, Iowa, who passed away on May 26, 2022 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Matney and Opal Matney of Homer; his wife Kathleen; and his sister Diana Matney. He is survived by: his children, Brett Matney (Nelda) of Belton, Teri Brown (Larry) of Belton, Ernest Matney of Blanco, Melissa Woolsey (Dave) of Blanco and Matthew Matney (Dawn) of Temple, Texas; the parent of his children Jan Matney of Blanco, Texas; his siblings, Mick Matney (Marchell), Jerry Matney (Myla) of Tecumseh, Kansas, Debbie Davis (Darrel) of Amarillo and Donna Valadez (Rick) of Mesa Arizona; and his granddaughters, Sarah, Maggie, Abigail and Eden. He is also survived by 4 great granddaughters.
