She was predeceased by: her parent Lucious Jernigan; her husband Weldon Townsend; her great grandchild Emerson Beth Jones; her siblings, Loretta Kinsey, Leon Jernigan, Ceward Jernigan and R. C. Jernigan; her parent Madie Jernigan Langord; and her stepfather Raymond Langford.

She is survived by: her daughters, Sylvia Culler (Ralph) and Kay Habermehl (Paul); her granddaughters, Rachel Mayberry (Joe), Ashley Sigafoos (Adam), Marsha Dillard (Brandon), Sarah Jones (Tyler), Kristen Welch (Brennan) and Jamie Habermehl; and her great grandchildren, Brooks, Leighton, Case Mayberry, Sophia, Scarlett, Noah Sigafoos and Townsend Jones.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
