He was predeceased by: his parents, Eula Mae Butler (Bishop) and Leander Butler Sr.; and his siblings, Shirley Smith, Wanda Reynolds, L. B. Butler, L. C. Butler and L. J. Butler.
He is survived by: his sons, Kurt Butler (Kristy), Brandon Soliz (Brandi) and Jason Soliz; and his sister Billie Kirkley. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
