He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Laurelle Gosney and Nettie Emma Wright; his brother William Conrad Gosney (Bill); and his sister-in-law Mary Lynn Gosney (Brooks). He is survived by: his wife Jean of Belton; his brother Dr. Gary Gosney; his children, Pamela (David Fette) of Belton, Molly (Ronald White) of Sonora, Mark (Nicole Gosney) of Belton and Amy (Eddy Lange) of Moody; and his grandchildren, Russell Fette (Carrie), Elizabeth Rogers (Ed), Robert White (Erin), Tyrell White (Shelli), Natalie Rabel (Jeremy), Elahu Gosney Sustaric (Riia), Jahia Sustarsic and Clinton Lange.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 from 6:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the Dossman Funeral Home (2525 N Main St, Belton, TX 76513). A wake was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 at 9:00 AM at the Christ the King Catholic Church (210 E 24th Ave, Belton, TX 76513). A graveside service will be held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery (11463 TX-195, Killeen, TX 76542).
