He is survived by: his father Thomas Pete of Lake Arthur; his wife Shalaunda Enrika Carter of Belton; his children, Rayford Pete II of Belton, Ziamora Pete of Temple and Raylene (Arnold Dionglay) of Temple; his siblings, Thomas Jr. (Valerie Pete) of Youngsville, James Pete of Lake Arthur, Andrew Pete of Richmond and Stella Ann Pete of Lake Arthur; and his grandchildren, Mikaeyla, Myko "Kai" and Mykah Dionglay.

A funeral service was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Dossman Funeral Home (2525 N Main St, Belton, TX 76513). A burial was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at the North Belton Cemetery (1500 N Main St, Belton, TX 76513).
