He was predeceased by: his parents, Fransico Melendez and Alejandra Melendez (Aragon); and his brother-in-law Jim Murphy. He is survived by: his wife Rose Mary Licon Melendez; his children, Amelia Melendez-Quirk (Michael) of Belton, Cassandra Melendez of Belton, Marl Melendez of El Paso and Jimmy Melendez of El Paso; his grandchildren, Lilly L. Rose Quirk of Belton, Violet Ember Quirk of Belton, Michelle Alexandra Melendez of El Paso and Jacob Alexander Melendez of El Paso; and his siblings, Bertha Gonzalez (Jerry) of El Paso, Cecilia Murphy of El Paso and Frank Melendez (Kim) of El Paso.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 24th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Scanio-Harper Funeral Home (3110 Airport Rd, Temple, TX 76504). A rosary will be held on Sunday, November 24th 2024 at 5:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 25th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St Mary's Catholic Church (1018 S 7th St, Temple, TX 76504).
