With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lester Samuel Swanson of Belton, Texas, who passed away on January 21, 2025 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Lester departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Lester. Though Lester may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Marjorie Sue Smith Swanson of Newton's Second Law and L. S. Swanson Sr.; and his sister Elizabeth Jean Swanson. He is survived by: his wife Maureen Lorraine Swanson; his children, Shannan Michelle Swanson-Bryan of Belton, Texas and Samuel "Clint" Clinton Swanson of Chicago, Illinois; his sister Linda Sue Swanson (Rex Blue) of Flower Mound, Texas; and his grandchildren, David Granvill Bryan of College Station and Emily Sue Bryan of Austin, Texas.. He is also survived by beautiful nieces, a nephew, grandnieces, and friends.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery (11463 TX-195, Killeen, TX 76542).
