He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnnie Sue and C. E. Fikes. He is survived by: his wife Kim Coufal Fikes; his daughters, Anne Fikes Carter (J. R.) and Laura Fikes Thomas (Andrew); and his siblings, Susan Fikes and Carroll Fikes. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
