He was predeceased by: his parents, Juan H. Gomez and Domitila Gomez; and his siblings, Rosa Avila, Robert Gomez and Ruben Gomez.
He is survived by: his wife Sophia Alcozer; his children, Julia Michelle Gomez and Guillermo Augustine Gomez; his granddaughters, Alexandria Michelle Gomez-Armstrong, Dallas, Taylor Dawson Gomez, Belton, Leigh Brooke Gomez and Penelope Faye Gomez; his great grandchild Camila Rose Bella Gomez; and his siblings, Arturo Gomez, Joe Gomez (Anna), Jeannie Gomez of Las Cruces and Mary Lugo of El Paso. He is also survived by many godchildren, nieces, and nephews.
