He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward L. Willis and Bertha Mae Willis; and his sister JoAnn Blakenship. He is survived by: his wife Betty Willis of Belton; and his children, Donna Danekas (Jim) of Temple, James Willis (Renee) of Belton and Cathy Haisler of Houston.

Memorials can be made to the Belton Church of Christ in lieu of flowers.
