He is survived by: his wife Claudia Sue Starnes; his children, Deborah Renee Bertolette (Reed), Steve Starnes (Jane) and Darin Starnes; his stepdaughter Kellie Mendoza (Marco); his grandchildren, Christine, Jessica Starnes, Justin and Benjamin Mendoza; and his great grandchildren, Gigi and Delmar M. Starnes.
