He was predeceased by: his father Robert Stanford; and his sister Patricia Ann Kupeli. He is survived by: his mother Beatrice Happ Stanford of Belton; his daughter Kimberly Stanford-McCall of Downers Grove, Illinois; his sister Donna Stanford of Kyle; his nephews, Chris Kupeli Belton and Robert Stanford Yarbrough of Dallas; his niece Kelsey Yarbrough of Austin; and his grandson Carter McCall.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the ALS Association of Texas.
