It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carol Ruth Maddux Yates of Belton, Texas, born in Raymondville, Texas, who passed away on June 2, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Faidley and Vada Faidley (Barnes); her former husband Arthur Maddux; and her husband Dale Yates. She is survived by: her friend Dale Yates, Sr.; her siblings, Russell, Allan Faidley, Eunice Hunter, Marilyn Horton, Pearl Wilder and Phyllis Loucks; her children, Carol McDaniel, Kenny Maddux, Karen Schlickeisen (Roy) and Sharen Kiesling (Keith); her stepsons, Dale Yates, Jr. (Vesta) and Leland Yates (Yumiko); her sisters, Edith Ludwig and Edna Spinner (Dave); her grandsons, Jason Schlickeisen, Jeremy Schlickeisen, Kevin Kiesling, Jeffrey Kiesling and Heath Scruggs; her great grandchild Colton Schlickeisen; and her caregiver Randy. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, and 27 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Nazarene Church of the Nazarene or to Stoney Brook Assisted Living in Belton.
