He was predeceased by: his parents, Pearl Whidden (Fought) and William W. Whidden; and his brothers, David Whidden and Russell Whidden. He is survived by: his wife Thelma Whidden of Bellville; his children, Christina Hatcher (Nathan) of Katy, Pearl Arguelles (Richard) of Katy, Jackie Pfeffer (David) of Bellville, Lucas Whidden (Debra) of Bellville, Mark Whidden (Cynthia) of Brenham, Clifford Jones of Bellville and Jimmy Jones of Arkansas; and his siblings, Louretha Logue of Lakeland, Glennah Whidden of Bradenton, Louella Hollingsworth (Bill) of Arcadia, Florida and Mitchell Whidden (Doris) of Indiana. He is also survived by twenty two grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
