She was predeceased by: her mother Mary Ann Nelson; and her brother Joseph Gerson Jr. (June). She is survived by: her husband Garry Kroeger; her siblings, Roy Gerson and Robin Nelson; her children, Trey Trahan (Samantha), Lara Busse (Ryan), Tonya Wilson (Lee) and Melissa Hein (Justin); and her grandchildren, Cade Trahan, Sawyer, Jana Busse, Zane, Brant Wilson, Luke and Kellis Hein.
After being hospitalized with serious COVID complications in 2020, she decided it was time for another beach house and spent many days enjoying the sun, the sand, and new friends in Bolivar.
