She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, John Hale and Fannie Hale; her sister Jackie Johnson; her children, Warren Briggs (Debbie), Karen Stone (Tommy) and Ann; and her husband Oliver Briggs. She was also cherished by nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to First United Methodist Church of Sealy, Texas.
