He was predeceased by: his wife Phyllis Rainwater; and his siblings, Gene Rainwater and Peggy Smith. He is survived by: his children, Kathy VanGrol (Doug), Steve Riffle (Jane), Tom Riffle, Jan Thompson and Jami Derzapf (Randy).
A memorial service was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Waldo Funeral Home (619 N Travis St, Sherman, TX 75090). A burial was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery.
