He was predeceased by: his brother Charles David Derrick (Chad); his grandparents, Roy Eaton III, Harold, Patricia Derrick and Bobby Cook; his uncles, David Cook, Brian Derrick and Bobby Derrick; and his cousins, Lori Derrick, Whitney Derrick and Cole Derrick.

He is survived by: his parents, Charles Derrick and Janet Whorton (Danny); his wife Kathy Derrick; his children, Chad, Hunter Dean, Chloe, Allie and Hannah; his grandmother Shirley Eaton; his mother-in-law Terry Darlin; his grandfather-in-law Dorothy McCreight; his brother Jeffery Derrick (Erin); his nephew Bradyn; his niece Madisyn; his sister Katie; his niece Serenity; and his siblings, Carlee and Owen.

Visitation was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Legacy Bible Church (4818 FM691, Denison, TX 75020). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at 2:30 PM at the Liberty Hill Cemetery (229 County Rd 3325, Mt Pleasant, TX 75455).
