He is survived by: his son David Acevedo, Jr of Bells, Texas; his grandchildren, Alyssa Mansfield, Alexis Acevedo and Annabelle Acevedo; and his siblings, Eduardo "Lalo" Acevedo of McAllen, Jesus "Jesse" Acevedo of Justin, Leonel Acevedo of Paris, Texas, Mary Acevedo of Blossom, Linda Ortega of Amarillo and Gloria Tibbs of Lewisville, Texas. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
