He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Robert Ivy "Beetle" and Berniece Cantwell (Joplin); his grandson Calvin York; his wife Carolyn Cantwell of Bellevue, TX; his children, Rowdy Cantwell of Bellevue, Jodie York (John) of Muenster, TX and Rayce Cantwell (Shelly) of Bowie, TX; his granddaughter Jaycie York of Dallas, TX; his brother James Cantwell (Joan) of Bowie; and his sisters-in-law, Patsy Choate of Bowie, Paula Brooks of Bowie and Darlene Oberhofer (Jim) of Stevensville, Montana. He was also cherished by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Bowie's Building Fund or Youth Department.
