He was predeceased by: his siblings, Marty, Louise, Bitty, Sandy, Jay, Buddy and Jake; and his parents, Scott Buckner and Alma Buckner (Bonham).
He is survived by: his children, Ramiro Garza, Irma Gamez (Lupe) and Cindy Metcalf (Ken); his grandchildren, Amanda Meaux, Ramsey Garza (Tammy), Adrian Gamez (Natalie), Crystal Padilla (Juan), Destiny Castillo (Adrian), Cameron Gamez (Linz), Lindsey Detwiler (Bram), Meredith Kolsru (David) and Parker Metcalf; his great grandchildren, Macie, Emmie, Adalia, Amelia, Michah, Oliver, Isaac, Sophia, Asia, Bella, Remy, Stella and Frankie; his brothers, Sammy, Gary and Dean; and his wife Ruth.
