He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruby Alpert (Margulis) and Louis Alpert; his sister Barbara Frishkopf; and his son Daniel Alpert. He is survived by: his wife Ruth; his children, Richard Alpert (Kelly), Ariela and Jessica Alpert Silber (Jacob); his grandchildren, Maya, Emi, Wyatt, Theo and Nicola; his nieces and nephews, Michael Frishkopf (Iman), John Frishkopf (Brett), Sophie Frishkopf (Phil) and Bianca Medina (Ned); and his caregiver Anderson.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Jewish Federation of Houston and the Nature Conservancy.
