He is survived by: his brother Mel; his wife Myrna Kaufman of Brooklyn; his children, Marcy (Rabbi Stuart Federow), Steve (Jackie), Bonnie (Jeffrey Levin) and Amy (Jason Powers); and his grandchildren, Jared Powers (Kaytlyn), Chelsea Loose-Mitchell (Will), Tyler Powers, Zachary Powers, Sarah Powers, Danyel Powers and Mia Powers. He is also survived by three great grandchildren.
The Powers children want to thank our caregivers for their committed and loving attention to our father, treating him as their own during his illness with Parkinson's Disease.
