She was predeceased by: her parents, Aida Valdes and Carlos Cofiño; her daughter Aida Goloby; her godmother Ondina Muñoz; and her sister Josefina Martinez.

She is survived by: her husband Eduardo M Diaz MD; her children, Vivian Kardow (Jack), Eduardo M Diaz, Jr. (Diana) and Mark V. Goloby; her siblings, Ondina Garcia and Guillermo Muñoz; her grandchildren, Katrina McBeth (Sean), Meghan Kardow, Caroline Gabriel (Josh), Mark E. Goloby, Melanie Diaz and Edward Diaz (Hannah); and her great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Travis, Penelope, Crocket McBeth and Samuel Gabriel. She is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
